Phoenix, AZ – January 25 – Realtime Senior Living was one of five innovative companies invited to the MSD Better Together Conference in Miami. They presented to 100s of leaders in the healthcare and technology space. Realtime had the real-life experience to present at ‘Pitch Tank’ moderated by Kevin Harrington, the prime mover on the original ‘Shark Tank.’
MSD’s Better Together 2018 Conference was supported by providers and top industry leaders in the post-acute space. Conference highlights included cutting-edge technology, informative panel discussions, and diverse networking events. Through a powerful lineup of world-class speakers and ample networking opportunities participants were able to gain business insights, learn about market trends, and receive actionable strategies to help improve your business and bottom line.
Steve Gilbert, CEO/Innovator at Realtime Senior Living stated, “This was a truly priceless encounter. Our team was able to connect with many people within the technology arena; creating new champions to spread the Realtime solution on a national platform and expand our network even broader.”
The ‘Pitch Tank’ competition brought five entrepreneurs to the stage to pitch the next new healthcare technology solutions to a panel of top business experts and an audience of customers and leading manufacturers in the Home Infusion, HME, and Oncology markets. Panel members included Shark Tank original cast member Kevin Harrington, and MSD’s own Board Director, Christos Cotsakos, Ph.D., Chairman and CEO of Pennington Ventures, LLC, and former Chairman and CEO of E*TRADE.
“I was thrilled to share our senior living innovation with this distinguished panel and conference attendees. We are now motivated to share our senior living benefits with families and care homes nationwide; as we continue to impart the Realtime mission, Our Technology – Your Solution,” added Gilbert.
Realtime Senior Living was formed after a personal event with an aging family member challenged CEO Steve Gilbert to find the right placement to meet the basic care needed. This prompted Steve to recognize the need for better options within the senior referral industry which lead to the start of a senior living referral service to assist families to find quality care to meet their financial needs.
After three years serving families and discovering the time commitment it takes providers and searchers to connect. Steve set out to modify the process and develop a way to directly link senior living communities to those searching for care. Realtime Senior Living was born to close the gap between Independent and assisted living, memory care, residential and small care home, and those searching for current vacancies.
Gilbert further stated “Innovation, advocating for seniors and ensuring a simple search to find Realtime available senior living is what drives us. I wish I had this tool when we were searching for our dad 10-years ago. Being selected as one of the top six start-up innovative post-acute companies across the United States by the MSD Board, and allowing us to share our story, was a tremendous honor and experience I will never forget.”
